European Intermodal Freight Transport
We got the data to get you ahead
In 1999 the European Commission Directorate for Transport and Energy DG TREN issued a call to award a grant to set up and run an European Reference Centre for Intermodal Freight Transport. The contract was awarded to the EURIFT project – a project which had been jointly supported by the European Commission Directorate-General for Energy and Transport (DG TREN) together with the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. Despite the fact that the project was ended, TuTech remained committed to developing the portal, being convinced that it has intrinsic value and can form the basis of a key European reference source on matters relating to freight transport.
eurift.eu is an independent internet based information portal, supported by TuTech Innovation GmbH (TuTech), providing comprehensive information on Intermodal Freight Transport.

As the European intermodal transport scene is dispersed over Europe, the single point of access to information about intermodal transport makes the EURIFT portal a valuable tool for professional users from industry, research, politics, administrations and training.
The information and documentation database currently contains more than 6900 commented entries and is extended and updated every day. The entries are added by an editorial team with transport background.
As a neutral platform, EURIFT is not aligned with any political party or interest group and thus offers the viewpoints of all players in the European Intermodal Transport Sector.
A further service by Eurift.eu is the weekly electronic newsletter which all registered users of the website receive. The newsletter brings the highlights of current news in the intermodal transport and logistics sector.
We welcome your comments and suggestions for additional content which you can send through our contact address.
