Collaboration creates “carpooling” for pharma freight

Global healthcare companies UCB and Baxter will bundle their pharmaceutical supply chains in Eastern Europe together with TRI-VIZOR, a spin-off company from the University of Antwerp, creating the world's first example of orchestrated bundling or "carpooling for cargo".Logistics service provider H.Essers will provide the operational expertise and intermodal capacity for the horizontal collaboration.The partnership is powered by an advanced control tower that uses Microsoft cloud computing technology.
