Green Logistics

The European Intermodal Association (EIA) and Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (Fraunhofer IML) have officially concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 'Green Logistics'. Aim is to facilitate tomorrow’s individual supply of goods, mobility and production – using just 75% of today’s resources (in ecological and economic terms) – by, for the first time, choosing a holistically approach to determine ecological effects. Standard methods and instruments will be developed for the assessment ranging from storage, distribution to (reverse) logistics.
